Uniting Voices for Family-First Change

A Coalition Partner is an organization that teams up with AFL Council to co-design and advance family-first policy campaigns. Partners pool expertise, networks, and resources to achieve shared legislative and community goals.

Any nonprofit, advocacy group, business, educational institution, or grassroots organization aligned with our mission to strengthen parental equity. You don’t need to be large—just mission-driven and ready to collaborate.

Partners agree to:

• Attend a monthly virtual strategy session (60 minutes)
• Contribute expertise or in-kind resources (research, event support, outreach)
• Collaborate on at least two campaigns or policy initiatives each year

We believe in shared impact over financial barriers. Instead of dues for partnership, we ask partners to contribute time and expertise to coalition priorities.

We host deliberative strategy sessions so every partner can share input and feedback. After thoughtful discussion, the AFL Council Steering Committee reviews recommendations and makes the final decision to ensure strategic alignment and timely action.

• Visibility on AFL Council publications, events, and press releases
• Access to proprietary research, policy toolkits, and data dashboards
• Invitations to policymaker roundtables and stakeholder briefings
• A dedicated liaison for coordination and capacity-building

Our standing strategy sessions are held on the first Thursday of every month at 2 PM PT via Zoom. Special working groups convene as needed for campaign sprints.
